Privacy

1.1 We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest. Below, we inform you about how your personal data is handled when using our website. Personal data includes all data by which you can be personally identified.

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
2) Data collection when visiting our website
2.1 When you use our website for informational purposes only, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we collect only the data that your browser transmits to the server (so-called “server log files”). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:
Our visited website
Date and time of access
Amount of data transmitted in bytes
Source/referrer from which you accessed the page
Browser used
Operating system used
IP address (if applicable, in anonymized form)
Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not shared or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to subsequently review the server log files if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.
2.2 This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g., orders or inquiries to the controller). You can recognize an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
3) Hosting & Content Delivery Network
3.1 Framer
For hosting our website and displaying page content, we use the system of the following provider:
Framer B.V., Rozengracht 207B, 1016 LZ Amsterdam, Netherlands
All data collected on our website is processed on the provider’s servers. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Within the scope of the aforementioned services, data may also be transferred for further processing on behalf of Framer Inc. in the USA. For data transfers to the USA, the provider relies on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection.
4) Cookies
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, i.e., small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after closing the browser (“session cookies”), while others remain on your end device for a longer period and allow page settings to be saved (“persistent cookies”). In the latter case, you can find the storage duration in the overview of the cookie settings of your web browser.
If personal data is processed through individual cookies used by us, processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR either for contract performance, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in the case of consent given, or in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a user-friendly and effective design of the site visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually on their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.
Please note that if cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.
5) Contact
When you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email), personal data is collected. Which data is collected when using a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or for contacting you and the associated technical administration.
The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted after your inquiry has been conclusively processed, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
6) Web analytics services
6.1 Framer Analytics
This website uses a web analytics service from the following provider:
Framer B.V., Rozengracht 207B, 1016 LZ Amsterdam, Netherlands
To protect website visitors, Framer uses a so-called “Unique Visitor ID” to enable various analyses of page usage within a short time window of up to 24 hours. The “Unique Visitor ID” is a randomly generated, time-limited hash of a limited set of visitor settings and attributes, calculated based on the operating system, browser, browser plugins, previously anonymized IP address, and browser language.
The “Unique Visitor ID” is therefore created exclusively on the basis of information that cannot be used to personally identify the visitor.
If the processed information exceptionally includes personal usage data, processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes. You may object to the collection and storage of your visitor data for the future at any time by notifying us.
7) Tools and miscellaneous
7.1 Cookie consent tool
This website uses a so-called “cookie consent tool” to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications requiring consent. The cookie consent tool is displayed to users upon accessing the page in the form of an interactive user interface, where consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be granted by checking boxes. By using the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user grants consent by checking the corresponding boxes. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user’s end device if consent has been given.
The tool sets technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this context.
If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is processed for the purpose of storing, assigning, or logging cookie settings, this is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific, and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.
Another legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. As the controller, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user’s consent.
Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Further information about the operator and the settings options of the cookie consent tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.
7.2 Lexware Office
For accounting purposes, we use the cloud-based accounting software service of the following provider:
Haufe-Lexware GmbH & Co. KG, Munzinger Straße 9, 79111 Freiburg, Germany
The provider processes incoming and outgoing invoices and, if applicable, the company’s bank transactions to automatically record invoices, match them to transactions, and generate financial accounting in a partially automated process.
If personal data is processed in this context, processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in efficient organization and documentation of our business transactions in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7.3 Adobe Acrobat Sign
For the digital signing of documents, we use the services of the following provider:
Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, 4–6 Riverwalk, City West Business Campus, Dublin 24, Ireland
The service enables legally valid electronic signing of documents from any end device. For this purpose, in addition to the electronic signature for verification and proof of signing, the service also collects, stores, and transmits usage data of the end device used (in particular the IP address) as well as certain transaction data.
Processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in efficient and time-saving business management and customer-friendly, effective document administration in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which protects the data of our website visitors and prohibits disclosure to third parties.
8) Rights of the data subject
8.1 Applicable data protection law grants you the following data subject rights with regard to the processing of your personal data (rights of access and intervention), subject to the respective legal requirements:
Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR
Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR
Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR
Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR
Right to notification pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR
Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR
Right to withdraw consent pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR
Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR
8.2 Right to object
If we process your personal data on the basis of our overriding legitimate interest as part of a balancing of interests, you have the right at any time to object to this processing with effect for the future for reasons arising from your particular situation.
If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned. Further processing remains reserved, however, if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
If your personal data is processed by us for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing purposes. You may exercise the objection as described above.
If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned for direct marketing purposes.
9) Duration of storage of personal data
The duration of storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing, and—where applicable—by the respective statutory retention period (e.g., commercial and tax law retention periods).
When processing personal data on the basis of explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, the data concerned will be stored until you withdraw your consent.
If statutory retention periods exist for data processed in the context of contractual or quasi-contractual obligations on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, this data will be routinely deleted after the retention periods expire, provided it is no longer required for contract performance or contract initiation and there is no longer a legitimate interest in further storage.
When processing personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
When processing personal data for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21(2) GDPR.
Unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
